Understanding Your Brain

In this TED talk, Mary Lou Jepsen talks about how, after brain surgery, she had to eat, every day, the chemicals that her brain would need to survive that day.  Out of curiosity, she ran some experiments and found out that very minor changes in dosages cause dramatic changes in her mood, thoughts, emotions, behaviors.  When she took the combination of chemicals common in men in their early 20s, she felt arrogant and thought about sex a lot.  What this shows is that what you eat, and what the present chemistry of your brain is, has a strong impact on how you experience and perceive the world and reality.
