Over the last 3 days I have eaten big dinners and then gone to sleep with a food coma for two of them, and ate dinner an hour before sleeping for the 3rd day. I have then woken up feeling fatigued, weak, and exhausted, and I decided to google to see if there was a connection. Here is what my research yielded:
Eating before bed lowers the quality of your sleep, causing you to wake up fatigued and drowsy.
Eating before bed can cause heartburn because you’re lying horizontally and your stomach acid can travel up into your esophagus.
It is best to eat 2-3 hours before you sleep.
